POWERSCOURT CHRISTMAS MARKET Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow
Powerscourt is one of Europe's great treasures and Ireland's most famous House & Gardens. Gracing the Wicklow mountains, 20km from Dublin city centre, Powerscourt is a heritage property with a surprising difference. The house was gutted by fire in 1974 but recently has been reborn as an exceptional tourist destination.

The Fresh n' Local Market is situated in a prime position in the main car park, just opposite the Garden centre. There are lots of Christmas stalls, including nuts, Bronze Christmas turkeys, hams, olives, farmhouse cheeses, cakes, plum puddings, etc. There is live traditional music at week ends.

Santa Claus arrives Saturday December the 6th at 10.30 and will be in the house. He will be there every weekend 9.30 to 5.30 & Weekdays between noon to 5pm.

There are Christmas decoration demos, 19th and 26th November from 10.30
Christmas Cookery Demos
Tuesday 4th November from 9.45, Favourite Christmas recipes from the Powerscourt Estate
Tuesday 11th November from 9.45. Appreciation of fine wine and artisan cheeses
Tuesday 18th Christmas made easy 9.45 onwards

Throughout the Christmas period there will be live Powerscourt Estate deer on show: Rudolf, Prancer and Dancer, for all the children to meet the reindeer.

Fresher Food
Where else can you buy food within hours of it being picked? Come along and find out what's in season and get some hot recipe ideas from our friendly farmers.

Quality Food and Drink
We only accept the very best local producers to sell at our markets, so you get only the very best local food and drink. If you are a local producer interested in selling at our market, we'd love to hear from you.

Get Involved
If you are a local environmental group or charitable organisation and want to promote your activities through our markets, contact us about having a 'Guest Stall'.

Direct from the Producer
Everything is on sale direct from local people including artisan and organic producers and award winning local businesses, so you can find out all about how your food and drink has been produced and what to do with it when you get home.

Entertain Us
Do you belong to a band, choir or singing group? We'd love you to come along and busk at our markets. You can collect for yourselves or your chosen charity - call us to book yourselves in.

Better for the Planet
Buy direct from local farmers and growers and you could cut up to 99% of the greenhouse gasses linked with global food distribution. On average, food and drink travels 20 miles to our markets. Look out for the new 'food miles' boards on our stalls. Stallholders travel no further than 80 miles to our 1" markets so everything really is fresh-n-local.

A Relaxing Experience
Shopping at farmers markets is a much more relaxing affair, with old friends to bump into and new friends to make. We have special events and entertainment throughout the year, free recipe cards and lots of ideas on cooking what you buy
