| Visiting Russborough - There's so much to enjoy at Russborough ...
 Sean McArdle and Eric Blatchford, the CEO of the Alfred Biet Foundation, are well pleased with the days events.
With over 50 stalls, ranging from Organic Vegetables to meats and demonstration of 'clean' pans and pots, to Jewellery, clothes and a wide range of crafts, as well as wine tasting, bread tasting and fantastic chocolates, and even including a Landscape Architect, demonstrating how to change your hose and lands into a magnificent setting, the 2nd Russborough market continued to be successful. The market was a 'covered' market being based in the Hippodrome, which is next to the maze
The next series of markets start on the 27th June, in conjunction with arts and crafts fair, and the Flower show
The house, which has been described as 'arguably the most beautiful house in Ireland' by historian Mark Bence-Jones, was the backdrop to this market, and it is planned to have monthly markets on into the New year, with a special Christmas Market nearer to Christmas. This will give a new alternative market to the rapidly expanding Blessington area.
