Farmers Market comes to Tankardstown Estate on Monthly format ...

With a wide variety of stalls selling all kinds of food – olives, farmhouse cheeses, artisan breads, organic meats, free-range poultry – to fresh cut flowers and local craft producers with handmade goodies like jewellery, soaps and candles, there are treats and temptations for all the family.

Complete with music in the background – ranging from buskers to gypsy orchestras to jazz on the lawns – each month will also see plenty of food and drink to enjoy on site, including hot toddies, barbecues, a Pimms bar, a champagne bar, and other seasonal delights!

People worldwide are rediscovering the benefits of buying local food – fresher than anything in the supermarkets, tastier and more nutritious, it’s also good for your local economy as buying directly from family farmers helps them stay in business.

So enjoy the fun, food and 'craic' at the Tankardstown Farmers’ Market on Easter Sunday, while supporting local growers and farmers, meeting the people selling directly to you, and cutting down on your costs!

Also new to Tankardstown is their mouth-watering Sunday Brunch menu and their great value Early Bird Menu, which starts at just €22. Tankardstown dining options include their beautiful restaurant Brabazon and their cosy Bistro. Secret Dining provides an intimate and enchanting private dining experience.

Voted by Conde Nast Traveller in 2009 as the best private house on the Island of Ireland. Tankardstown House is an elegantly restored and renovated cut-stone Georgian country house outside Slane in County Meath set in 80 acres of well-established parkland with its own walled gardens and woods, and is available to rent on an exclusive basis, with accommodation for up to 36 guests spread between 6 luxurious bedrooms in the main house, and 7 courtyard suites in the sensitively restored 18th century stable yard, which have 12 bedrooms in total.

Alternatively, the 7 courtyard suites can be booked on an individual basis with 5 of them having 2 en suite bedrooms, separate fully equipped kitchen and living room and the other 2 courtyard suites each with one double en-suite bedroom and open-plan kitchen.

All guests – in the main house and the courtyard suites – enjoy custom-made generously proportioned beds, power showers, plasma screen TVs, DVDs, Egyptian towels, fresh crisp linen throughout and well-stocked mini-bars and honesty bars. Guests may also enjoy home cooked meals, or when staying in the courtyard suites, local produce delivered to the door – including wonderful freshly prepared breakfast baskets
